FusionaBricks

FusionaBricks are a BioBricks standard developed by Fusiona. It consists of pieces of DNA encoding promoters, genes and fluorescent proteins with cohesive ends for easy assembly. By combining FusionaBricks, we create all of our genetic cell markers.

FusionaCells

The FusionaBricks are then inserted into the genome of cells, creating FusionaCells, that are human cells expressing fluorescent markers indicating several phenotypes. We have four human cell lines available expressing our genetic markers:

MRC-5 - human lung fibroblast;

HUVEC - human umbilical vein endothelial cells;

HeLa - human epithelioid cervix carcinoma;

MDA-MB-231 - epithelial, human breast cancer cell line.

The FusionaCells are then treated with any compound or extract of interest and their response is imaged with fluorescence microscopy.

Driven by data

With our automated analysis pipeline we can now ‘see’ the effects of multiple compounds and compare them to our standard controls, providing integrated information of FusionaCells phenotypes, in single cells and population level.

One single assay can generate up to 30 GB of data, with more than 80.000 events being analyzed simultaneously.

Flexible assay design

Our assay is designed to give freedom to customers to choose between cell lineages, cell markers and image frequencies, with chronic or acute investigation options. With Fusiona-Videt, you send us your extracts or molecules and receive a complete report with charts, images and the description of all biological activities observed. You can also schedule meetings with the team to discuss the report.
